When does Leeds Pride take place?

Leeds Pride Festival 2024 takes place Sunday 21st July 2024. 

Is Leeds Pride free to attend?

Leeds Pride always has and will be free to attend.

Where is Leeds Pride

Leeds Pride is spread across the whole city. Millennium Square (LS2 3AD) hosts our pre-parade party. The celebrations then continue on Lower Briggate (LS1), where our main stage is located.

How can I apply to take part in the Parade?

Applications are now open, head to our parade page for more information.
 

Where does the parade begin

Parade entires will gather from 11am in Millennium Square. The parade will begin to weave through the city at 12pm, from outside the Town Hall.
 

How does my company or organisation sponsor Leeds Pride?

We are always interested in meeting potential new sponsors and supporters. Whilst we require significant financial support, we are always open to local businesses who can offer their products of services for free or at a heavily discounted rate.

Can I bring dogs to Leeds Pride?

The event site is a very noisy and uncomfortable place for dogs. In the interest of protecting the welfare of animals, we would advise against bringing your dogs to the areas of Leeds Pride where there is very loud music or performances taking place.
Assistance dogs are of course permitted to enter all of our event spaces.
 

Can I bring my children?

Yes, we are a family friendly event and encourage everyone to come along. We do ask that young children are supervised at all times.

Alcohol cannot be brought into the Leeds Pride site. This rule is in accordance with the requirements set by the police and the event license. 

Bag searches will be conducted for security purposes. To expedite your entry and reduce queues, we encourage attendees not to bring unnecessary bags. 

Glass items are not permitted onsite, and soft drinks must be sealed and not in glass containers. 

Bag searches will be conducted at Leeds Pride for your safety. While these measures may result in slightly longer queues, we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring everyone’s security. If you can manage without a bag, we encourage you not to bring one to speed up entry for all attendees. Soft drinks are permitted but must be sealed. Please note that all open bottles, including drinking water bottles, must be sealed. Glass items are strictly prohibited onsite.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs. Individuals found in possession of drugs will be subject to standard enforcement procedures, ejected from the site, and reported to the police. The use of ‘legal’ highs is also prohibited onsite.

Media Accreditation- We appreciate your interest in covering Leeds Pride. To ensure access to the parade route and stage areas, media accreditation is required for all journalists, photographers, and videographers attending the event. Please contact us to apply.

Can I use your logo?

We ask that the use of our logo be reserved for official sponsors and media partners. This helps us to ensure that our logo is not used inappropriately or without our consent. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us to promote a positive and inclusive message for the LGBTQ+ community.

Can I use your images?

If you wish to use any of our images, please obtain permission from us first and remember to tag us in any of your posts. For access to our image library, please contact us.
