On Tuesday 27th November the city of Leeds let out a collective gasp of excitement. Oh yes, it was that time again: Time for Glitz, Time for Glamour. It was Time for Drag Idol! At the Oracle ten would-be Drag Idols took to the stage and danced their high heeled hearts out to raise money for Daybreak, Mesmac, THT Leeds and Skyline Services. Now is your chance to relive the excitement of this very special event with lots of behind the scenes treats and tantrums. All the proceeds from this event will be split between the above charities & Leeds Pride!

REEL STORIES:

Before the feature films there will be a series of short documentaries featuring some of the people of Leeds. These are short edited excerpts of longer interviews produced in association with Leeds Pride and The West Yorkshire Archive Service(WCAS). These films will be used as part of an ongoing archive project and will be available through WCAS.

The films were made by local film maker LaToyah Gill in association with WCAS and the Leeds Winter Pride team. The edited excerts and Vox Pops shown before the feature films are just a small part of the material filmed.

If YOU would like to be involved in the important on-going work that the archive service does please get in touch.

The Winter Pride team would like to thank: The Hyde Park Picture House, Celebration Films, Ice Cream, LaToyah Gill, Mesmac, Shout!, The Bridge, The Oracle, The Viaduct, The West Yorkshire Archive Service, Urban Hippy and all our sponsors.

Without all of these faaabulous people Winter Pride could not have taken place.
