BME Dance Area

A dedicated Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic (BME) dance area being hosted in Club Mission.

The event has been coordinated by the Leeds LGB T* Community Hub and facilitated in association with the 'BE LGBTQ*' regular BME club night in Leeds.

This is in The Bunker area of the club bringing R'n'B (Rhythm and Blues) blended with Soul, Disco, House, Edgier Pop, Rap, Dance Hall & Dub/Broken Beat in a setting that allows them to be themselves 100%, no pretensions.

BE is influenced by New York's Club scene in particular Larry Levan's Paradise Garage in the 80s, Soul II Soul's Fairplay nights in the late 80s early 90s and the eclectic London Shoreditch sound all tied together with some cool camp. BE will contrast all these elements to create a unique 2016 sound.

This is a free event, supported by a Leeds Pride 2016 community grant.
