Sponsored once again by Trinity Shopping Centre Leeds, the Trinity Leeds Main Stage is located on Lower Briggate in the heart of the Leeds LGBT Scene - with the main entertainment commencing at 3pm upon arrival of the parade on Sunday 7th August.
Headliner - Alexandra Burke
The 'Pride' team are proud to announce that this year's Trinity Main Stage Act will be non other then singer and actress Alexandra Burke.
Alexandra rose to fame after winning the fifth series of The X Factor (UK) back in 2008 and currently stands as one of the most successful winners of the show selling well over 4 million records in the UK alone.
Since X Factor Alexandra has had a string of hit singles and has even gone on to star in West End Musicals such as 'Bodyguard' and 'Sister Act'.
Leeds LGBT Pride are delighted to be able to bring Alexandra Burke to the Lower Briggate located Trinity Main Stage on Sunday 7th August at the FREE admission city centre event in order to help celebrate ten years of LGBT Pride in Leeds.
Natalie Wilson is 24 from Leeds and she was the winner of the Pridestar competition and raised over £700 for Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids and Macmillan Cancer Support in West Yorkshire. She has been a professional singer for 9 years now singing in clubs and holidays camps across the country. The highlight of her career was winning two awards. Her first award was for Best female vocalist across the Wakefield and the surrounding area. Her main award was wining best female vocalist for 2015. She is an outgoing bubbly character and always up for a challenge. She has a great voice and is the perfect addition to Leeds Pride.
Tom O'Reilly started Edgar Duke alone, writing and recording over the course of a year. He met James Raymond and Luke Strange at a Double Denim Live night and they agreed to start playing together. The chemistry was there and needless to say, they made musical gravy. Victors have been on the radar of the likes of BBC Introducing for some time after making huge waves last year out of their native Leeds. The band hold their own when faced with mammoth crowds after a variety of sell-out support slots including The Pierce Brothers at London’s O2, Billy Lockett at the Brudenell and hotly tipped Lisbon who recently appeared at the infamous Oporto.
Well as Leeds LGBT Pride turns 10 on Sunday 7th August 2016 one thing is for sure. It won't truly be Leeds LGBT Pride without the sensational Viaduct Showgirls and their Show Team. Yes that's right the international (Gran Canaria & Thailand) Viaduct Showgirls will be once again wowing you all on the Trinity Main Stage on Lower Briggate. Expect feathers & expertly choreographed routines as the girls show you what they do best week in week out at world famous Viaduct Showbar in a very special Trinity Main Stage performance.
Kira has been singing UK wide for over 14 years. Winning numerous awards and accolades, from clubs to stadiums, she first took to the Leeds pride stage in 2008. A favourite amongst the Leeds LGBT scene she has been invited back to perform consecutively at Leeds pride since then and 2016 will see Kira's 9th performance on our stage.
She is an accomplished host and an incredible singer and is sure to give this years crowd an outstanding performance.
The International MULTI award winning inter county goddess (she's literally everywhere) Miss Sordid Secret. This Owlie Award winner has a wardrobe to rival the BBC and a mouth to rival the dictionary!
The Original Paradise showgirl, star of venues across the country, up and down this as well as being the best supply teacher in town!
She will present to you camp of the old days soooooo watch ya mates and watch out cheesecakes, because that's how Sordid C's it!
JBX (Justin Bieber Xperience) AKA Davey Stuart
Davey Stuart has worked internationally as the UK's Number One Olly Murs Tribute and now he's putting his great vocal talent towards recreating another one of the globe's top male artists Justin Bieber.
Davey has worked up and down the UK and even at the Viaduct Showbar in gayleeds, aside from his tribute show's Davey also sings as himself and performs his own material.
They are back! Bears Aloud were formed in 2009 and held their last show at Blayds Bar back in December 2014 after five at the top of their game touring the country and performing at venues and Pride events far and wide.
Lee Lambert performs all over the UK and abroad doing gigs in various different venues such as hotels, holiday parks, Cruise Ships, clubs, and LBG&T* events.He have been lucky enough to do some amazing things in his career so far he has been the support act for Westlife, performed on a show with Jane McDonald, won a BBC2 TV Show. He appeared on The X Factor and made it through to the bootcamp!
His voice is powerful and he captivates his audiences with his personality.
Australian singer Kelly Wilde is a successful international multi lingual recording artist and performer who has toured extensively across the world.
She has an vast portfolio of music hits including a top 20 British Chart single. Kelly founded what is today one of the UK’s leading entertainment agencies. Dance Crazy Management boasts some of the industry’s biggest names and is responsible for booking the largest venues and the majority of the Gay Pride events and Festivals in the UK and abroad. She appeared on ‘A Song For Europe’ with the song ‘Better Be Good To Me’ to represent the UK in The Eurovision Song Contest. This was followed by the British Top 20 hit ‘Nothing But Promises’.
She has appeared at LGB&T* Festivals all over the world. Some of these include Sydney Mardi Gras, Amsterdam/Euro Pride and London Pride where she recently hosted the event in front of an audience of over 20,000 people in Trafalgar Square.
As they say.....’Time Stands Still For No-One’ It certainly doesn’t for Kelly Wilde, the future looks set to get even bigger!
Stacy has enjoyed a chart-topping career in the dance music scene, with hits such as "Live It Up" featuring Snoop Dogg, "Is This Love", "I am a Woman" & "Pointing Fingers".
Stacy's personality and lifestyle means production companies have approached her in the US & UK for roles on TV & movies. Stacey has been features on several radio stations, including a 30-minute documentary on her called "chasing dreams" presented by Grace Dent on BBC Radio 4. Stacey Jackson's entrepreneurial sprit is apparent in her singing career and now as a fitness solutions designer with her new range of technical fitness apparel, StaeFit.
Her career started with modeling, dancing and acting roles in British television shows and movies.
Among singing, dancing and modelling roles in the West End theatre (Bubbling Brown Sugar), she joined Flick Colby's Zoo, as a professional dancer performing weekly on BBC One's Top of the Pops. She was approached a year later to record a demo by Sony CBS Records offering a deal.
Her debut single, "A Time Like This", reached the Top 5 in the US Hot Dance Club Play Chart, and established her distinctive brand of soulful funk/pop. Via a succession of singles – including some tracks produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman, "You'd Better Not Fool Around", "I Can't Let You Go" and "Getting Closer", later covered by Kylie Minogue. In July 1986 with the song "Roses" she hit the top 20 in the UK music charts.
Joe & Jake
Joe & Jake the UK's 2016 entry for Eurovision will be performing live at the tenth LGBT Pride in Leeds.
The cheeky musical duo represented the UK at the 61st Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm after winning the National final.
Rozalla has toured with Micheal Jackson and Billy Ocean but is probably best known for her 1991 hit Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)
Sarah Harding rose to fame in late 2002 when she auditioned for the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals on ITV. The programme announced that Harding had won a place as a member of the girl group Girls Aloud. Girls Aloud split up in 2013, since then Sarah Harding has been carving out a solo career as a singer, model and actress.
