Leeds Pride are delighted to announce that Sonia, Marcus Collins and Angie Brown will all perform at Leeds Pride!
Sonia is a British singer from Liverpool, known for her huge success in the 80s and 90s. Sonia Evans' debut single “You’ll Never Stop Me fromLoving You” was released in 1989 and shot to No: 1 in the UK selling a staggering 350,000 copies. Numerous TV appearances revealed her bubbly personality and natural enthusiasm endearing her to a large audience. “Everybody Knows”, her debut album sold half a million copies and included a string of top singles such as “Can’t Forget You", "Listen to your Heart” and "Counting Every Minute”.
Marcus Collins is an English singer who finished as the runner-up of the The X Factor in 2011. His debut album, the self-titled Marcus Collins which featured production by the London-based Metrophonic team of Whitney Houston and Cher fame, became his first top 10 UK album which has his single "Mercy". His debut single from the album was "Seven Nation Army", a cover of The White Stripes hit, which also became his first top 10 UK single.
Angie Brown is a true performer. The voice of Angie Brown can be heard all around the globe performing as a live PA singing all her classics from the 90’s through to the present day. She has performed some of the most prestigious parties for some of the world’s most rich and famous including the King of Morocco’s Birthday party and Kate Driver’s wedding (sister of Minnie Driver). As a live PA Angie has played clubs that vary from Space (Ibiza), Heaven (London & Gran Canaria) to venues in New York, Golden Gate, San Francisco, Dubai, India and Europe, she has been the headline guest for the UK’s biggest Mardi Gras parties both in Manchester and London for the past ten years.
